Low back pain is a common problem affecting 80% of adults, at some point in their lives. Some individuals suffer with chronic low back pain and have not found relief with current treatments. Low-back pain is the leading cause of work related disabilities. Clinical research studies investigate new medications for relief of lower back pain.
Back pain can range in severity and symptoms, and can result from an injury or a strain. Many people develop back pain as a result of their job. Constant lifting, bending, or slouching at work can result in back pain.
